Torres y Ribelles participates from this 30th May to 3rd June in a Spanish Trade mission taking place in Mozambique and South Africa.
There is no doubt that face – to - face meetings are always the best tool to make ourselves known. It also happens in business, of course. Also, Trade missions help us to complete the market research that we did before from our own offices. It allows to approach and meet the market where we want to export and most importantly, meeting some potential companies to collaborate. The traditional face-to-face meeting is always the best way to start building a relationship.
Our colleague Rafael Aznar was the one participating in this Trade Mission. According to him, “we are very interested in working with these emerging countries because of the big potential of that region. In this context of shortage of sunflower oil, it is a good opportunity to convince the consumers to move to Olive Oil”.
Mozambique & South Africa almost sums 100 million persons between both countries together.
The Portuguese influence plays an important role in the gastronomy of Mozambique, Olive Oil is already a common ingredient for them.
Regarding South Africa, it is one of the biggest market for Olive Oil in Africa and there is a small local production there which can help us to build a culture of consumption of olive oil against other less healthy oils.
The Spanish Trade Mission was organized through ICEX-the Economic Office of the Spanish Embassy and Extenda. They have a very big knowledge of the main players in each market because of its long term presence in these countries during decades.
If summer is almost beginning in Europe and North Hemisphere, it is the right time to be involved in the launching and the development of our products in these markets. BETIS continues flying high during 2022!
